Year around Fun for Kids in Yosemite

Yosemite Valley Visitor Center
In the center you'll find a colorful model of Yosemite Valley with all the different layers of rocks – it's a lot more than just granite. Get hiking maps and information about day and evening programs at the desk.

Be a Junior Ranger!
Kids 7 to 13 can earn a certificate and patch as they learn about the mysteries and marvels of Yosemite. Check Yosemite Park Visitor Guide for more information.

Be a Little Cub
If you are between the ages of three and six, Yosemite has a program for YOU! Discover Yosemite's wonders and earn a Little Cubs button. Check the Yosemite Park Visitor Guide for more information.

Evening Programs
Free interpretive talks, slide presentations and films are offered at campgrounds and hotel amphitheaters. Consult onstage signs at amphitheaters and the Yosemite Park Visitor Guide for the current program schedule.

Nature Walks, Talks and Hikes
Ranger-led walks, talks and hikes in various locations throughout the park are offered daily by the National Park Service and Yosemite Concession Services at no cost. Free photography walks are also available by the Ansel Adams Gallery staff.

Yosemite Theater
Performing arts and film programs are presented by Yosemite Concession Services at the Yosemite Valley Visitor Center's East Auditorium on various evenings. Tickets are available at the door or may be purchased in advance at tour desks
